Democrats are struggling to keep their stories straight after the now-notorious oval offices between Ukrainian Presidents Voldeeme Zelenkies, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance on Friday.
The militant meeting between Zelensky and Trump and Vance sent Politicos on the tailspin, urging some of his longtime supporters, like the Republican Senator in South Carolina, and denounced the Ukrainian president. At the same time, Democrats like Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy left scrambles to protect Zelensky, sparking plenty of mixed messages in the media.
Democrats are trying to sort out their stories, but Trump is consistently supporting his position.
Murphy initially argued that the mineral trade was a “fake peace agreement” that forced Ukraine to submit to President Vladimir Putin's will. At the same time, Murphy said he encouraged Zelensky to sign the very contract he criticized a few days ago.
“I just finished a meeting with President Zelensky here in Washington,” Murphy I said The moment the oval office vents. “He confirmed that the Ukrainians would not support a false peace agreement that Putin has got everything he wants and that there is no Ukrainian security arrangement.”
“This is the latest Magazine plot,” Murphy said. I said In response to headlines claiming Democrats have put pressure on Zelensky to reject the peace deal. “A complete lie. Meet. [Zelenskyy] It was a bipartisan led by Senate Republicans. We all encouraged him to sign a mineral trade. But yes – he made it clear he would not accept the bad “ceasefire” deal that sold out his country. ”
Murphy's strange message appeared on CNN. I insisted Zelensky somehow “ready to sign a contract” but also had the “obligation” to chat with Trump about “a disaster created for Ukraine.”
Murphy is not the only Democrat who has made the message difficult about fallout from the arrival of Zelensky's oval office. Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumental originally classified the mineral trade as “a step towards strengthening US support for Ukraine,” but later described the deal as “Trump's settlement with Putin.”
“A touching and encouraging conversation with President Zelensky this morning” Blumental I said Friday. “Today's agreement is a step towards strengthening US support for Ukraine, but we need real, reliable security assurances. There must be consistency in our solid commitment to Ukraine.”
“Trump's settlement with Putin – at any price, he will make the perfect mouthpiece for Moscow” Blumenthal I said of a peace agreement. “Zelensky wants peace, but it's not the price of Ukraine's freedom and independence. Europe supports him. Kremlin propaganda praises and praises Trump.
Democrats are trying to sort out their stories, but Trump is consistently supporting his position.
“President Putin's only president who has not given Ukrainian land to Russia is President Donald J. Trump,” Trump said. I said Monday's Truth Social Post. “Remember when it's weak and doesn't work [Democrats] Criticize and fake news will be happy to put out whatever they say! ”
