Meghan Markle revealed that some of her closest friends “personally took it” after not receiving her jar of homemade jam last year.
Duchess of Sussex's Netflix cuisine series “With Love, Meghan” premieres on the platform on Tuesday and offers a “how-to guide” to entertain you.
In the second episode of her show, the former working royal, 43, will be joined by Mindy Culling from “Office” as the duo hosts a Garden Tea Party.
In one scene in the kitchen, 45-year-old Kaling vomited how delicious the delicious Markle homemade jam sent to his companions last year during the first rollout of the American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand.
The “Suit” alum sent her friends last summer a gift basket filled with lemons containing fresh fruit jam.
Each package was labeled 1-50 on a customized JAR sticker with the brand's old logo.
“When I received your box of jam in the mail, it was probably one of the most fascinating moments of my life,” the Mindy Project star told Markle.
“But I looked at the label and said it was like 50 years old. And of course, as a very hierarchical person, I was like, “Who are these other people? Does the fewer numbers make me even more special?”
“I wasn't thinking about it,” Markle responded. “It wasn't a ranking. It was just 'Let me share them.' And people started taking it very personally. ”
Kaling revealed that Jar was labelled 19 out of 50 – ran to Instagram to search for other recipients of Markle's Prices.
“I'm zooming in to see the numbers they have,” she confessed with a laugh.
Markle then revealed that the first batch labelled 1 in 50 was reserved for her mother, Doria Ragland.
“I saved one of my 50 for my mother,” admitted Markle. “It felt like the right thing to do and I thought, 'Anyone who got one of the 50 jars I made on the stove in my actual kitchen.” I hope they all felt, “No, I want to share with you.” ”
“It was very good,” Kaling says. “And many people asked to taste it. And you know what I told them? Get your own jar.”
Kaling, who had been friends with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since 2022, was one of several famous names to receive jams.
Tracee Ellis Ross, Kris Jenner, designer Tracy Robbins and Argentinian Model Delfina Blaquier were Prince Harry's best friend and wife of polo player Nacho Figueras.
