Vance Blasts ‘Absolutely Dishonest’ Claims He Insulted British Army

British commentators responded overnight to JD Vance's intense rage over the shaming of the Army, urging the Vice President to reassure him of his remarks about the “random country” army.

The sudden rage was fixed in the interpretation of Vance's words when the VP told Fox News Monday night.

…The best security guarantee is to give Americans economic benefits in the future of Ukraine. This is a much better security guarantee than an army of 20,000 people from a random country that has not fought war in 30 or 40 years.

Some interpreted this statement as being particularly pointed out by London and Paris, as at this point Britain and France are undoubtedly the only European countries that have said they will contribute to the Ukrainian Peace Forces. However, such peacekeeping forces could not have happened realistically without the broader European buy-in. There are also many very small troops on the continent that have not been meaningfully deployed for decades.

Meanwhile, Britain and France have fought wars of various strengths throughout the post-Cold War era. Britain is a major contributor to the Iraq War, and Vance was deployed as a military journalist for the US military due to the conflict, and it is unlikely that he knows the British Army's combat records.

Clearly his position – some reports Characterized It was “backtrack” – Vance responded to a journalist who observed it as “bad news for priority and Macron,” saying, “This is absurdly dishonest. I'm not even mentioning Britain or France in the clip. Both have been bravely fighting the US for the past 20 years.”

But revealing that he really meant what he said, Vance doubled his doubts about the effectiveness of small European troops. He continued: “But let's be direct. Many countries volunteering (personally or publicly) with no battlefield experience or military equipment are doing nothing meaningful.”

In fact, some NATO states spend very little on defense. The US is clearly moving forward, with defence budgets approaching $1 trillion a year, while European leaders such as the UK, France and Germany spending up to $100 billion each on their troops. Expenditures in some European countries that enjoy the full benefits of NATO membership are not compared without drawing weight.

Among them is Spain, which amounts to just 1.2% of GDP, spending $21 billion, while Slovenia spends less than $1 billion a year or less than 1.3% of GDP or Belgium, home to NATO headquarters, and spending $8.5 billion on 1.3% of its economy.

Based on the interpretation that Vance was pushing the British troops in his “random country” comments, several politicians said on Tuesday morning. Daily telegraph connection. Among them was the former head of the British army during the Iraq War.

French Minister Sebastian Lecorne opposed the perceived insults of Parliament, saying, “We want to respect the veterans of all our allies and respect the veterans.”
