The resolution says that “universities should develop a sense of community,” but the drug show doesn't match the university's mission and core values.

The ban argues that drug performance can create a hostile environment for women, saying, “These events often involve unwelcome, objectively offensive behavior, based on the gender of many members of each university community, especially when it involves ocking and objectification of women.”

A drug show called “Draggieland” was planned later this month at the College Station campus. In light of the decision, the Queer Empowerment Council (QEC), which hosts and organizes events in Draggieland, is looking for other options, battalions after the ban. It has been reported on friday.

“Regent has also directed the university president to cancel all upcoming drug shows on campus. This is a list that includes Drug Gieland, set up at the Ladder Theatre on March 27th. Current ticket holders will receive a refund from Monday,” the article read.
