One of President Donald Trump's more surprising claims during his speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night ended with an egg on the face of a “fake news loser” on CNN as they tried to fact-check him.
“$8 million to promote LGBTQI+ in the Lesotho nation of Africa. No one has heard of it,” he said in the address. “$60 million, $60 million for the empowerment of Central America and Afro-Colombia. $8 million for the creation of mouse transgender. This is true!”

CNN reporters initially said the claim was false and they couldn't determine how the president came up with the $8 million figure. Finally, the article was revised with the claims of “necessary context” and deleted the content called falsehood.
“An earlier version of this item has been mischaracterized as false Trump claims about federal money used to “make mouse transgender.” This article has been updated in the context of spending. This was aimed at research students on the potential human health impacts of treatments used in gender-affirming care,” the article read.
There were two versions Posted Go to social media through the popular “Tiktok's Libs” account.
CNN was laughed at and ridiculed by many, but the White House hit the news outlet.
“CNN's fake news loser tried to fact-check President Trump by saying that Biden spent $8 million on “making transgender,” but President Trump was right (as always).” I wrote it on your official social media account.
“Under the Biden administration, the National Institutes of Health spent millions of taxpayer-funded grants to institutions around the country to conduct transgender experiments in mice,” they added.
