Mike Pence Congratulates Trump On ‘Strong’ Joint Address To Congress

Former GOP Vice President Mike Pence congratulated President Donald Trump on his “strong” speech, referring to the president's Congress speech on Tuesday in a social media post.

Pence won X on Wednesday, congratulating the president on a “strong joint speech to Congress.”

“Congratulations to President @Realdonaldtrump on his powerful joint speech to Congress last night,” Pence wrote.

He continued, in his own words, “openness to continue negotiations with Ukraine,” expressing his support for the US military and praised Trump for securing the border.

Pence added that it was “welcome news” about how the US arrested Trump, dubbed the “top terrorist” involved in the 2021 bombing at a monastery at Kabul International Airport.

“There's plenty of time for discussion between tariffs, tax cuts and spending, but for now, the president has done well,” Pence added.

The former vice president previously criticized Trump during the 2024 election cycle, dramatically declaring that he could not “conscientiously” support Trump's re-election bid.

The split between Pence and Trump began in 2021.

But Trump actually told his supporters to “maintain peace.”

Pence and Trump were seen talking for the first time in years at the late President Jimmy Carter's funeral in January. Nevertheless, Pence's wife refused to wave Trump's hand at the event.

Pence later explained the interaction in an interview, saying to the president, “Congratulations, Mr. President.” Trump replied, “Thank you, Mike.”
