DOGE Efforts in Iowa a ‘Model for Success’

Iowa's government efficiency (DOGE) efforts are a “model of success,” Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) said. Breitbart News Daily.

“I've said this many times, but I keep doing this, Iowa started doge before it really got cool.

“I think she's already saved a number well over 200 by going back to the cabinet position. [million] And I think it's 215-217 million, but they initially projected for just four years, and that already happened in 18 months,” she reveals, pointing to Iowa as a major model of the US government and its federal efforts.

“So, when I see taxpayers' money and what it's made more efficient, Iowa is an incredible model for that. …I'm talking about how it takes decades to see this position of government and just seeing this growth of animals, like injured animals trying to protect themselves? “When you make these changes, the world falls apart,” I think Iowa is a great example of how to make these changes, provide these efficiencies to taxpayers and provide the services they need,” she continued.

Emily Schmidt, chairman of Iowa's Doge Task Force, also spoke about the state's efforts, saying he is listening and actively listening to Iowans and “ready to do something that will help Iowa succeed already.”

She emphasized that their efforts will be driven primarily by the Iowans.

“We have a public portal. We have an X account. So we're really going to go where Iowans say we need to go. Like you said, Governor Reynolds has already cut the agency from 37 to 16, but that was already happening a few years ago. We've been chairing it as a working group and we've seen the boards and committees, the agencies, and now it's about the systems, people, the processes and the utilization of that technology,” she added. “That's why we're going.”
