California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, who wants to run for president in 2028, suddenly plunged into the establishment of a Democrat for transgender athletes and now says it's “deeply unfair” to compete with men.
Newsom made his incredible declaration in a conversation with conservative activist Charlie Kirk, chief of popular organization Turning Point USA.
When Kirk asked Newsom about his thoughts on trans athletes on his recent podcast, The Gov. It went in an amazing direction.
“I think it's a matter of fairness. I totally agree with you about it. It's a matter of fairness – it's a very unfair,” cried Newsom.
“I'm not working on the issue of fairness,” Newsom added. “I fully agree with you. I respect sports. So the issue of fairness is completely legal.”
Kirk cultivated a vote showing that Americans would oppose trans athletes playing in girls and women's sports, and Newsom agreed that Democrats are “smashed down” on the issue.
However, Newsom tried to play sympathy for trans people.
“It's a simple call, it's unfair. There's humility and grace too,” he insisted. “These poor people are more likely to commit suicide [through] Anxiety and depression. And how people talk to vulnerable communities is a problem I struggle with. Both are things I can hold in my hand. ”
Newsom's comments serve as more evidence that he is triangulating his position to prepare to run to the White House in 2028.
However, the governor's recognition of the injustice of trans-athletes did not persuade women's rights activist Riley Gaines. Riley Gaines said, “We accept that inequality is a problem, but we don't act meaningfully for fear of being perceived as unkind.”
Despite Newsom's attempts to characterize trans depression as a result of people attacking them, statistics seem to indicate that the risk of suicide among trans people has doubled after receiving so-called “gender-affirming” care, suggesting that transgender procedures and treatments will not help them to feel at ease.
Another recent study found that depression rates in trans patients also showed a sharp rise after gender-maintaining care.
