President Donald Trump is entering a new era of regional peace, stability and cooperation, according to Saudi diplomat and adviser to King Salman bin Abdullaziz.
in article Released on Tuesday Arab NewsYasin argues that President Trump's transition to diplomacy, particularly with global authority — provides an opportunity to resolve long-standing conflicts, including the Arab-Israel conflict.
“I will not deny that US President Donald Trump overturns old ways and alliances and enforces a new world order,” he writes, urging skeptics to give Republican presidents a chance. “If President Trump can end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and embark on an era of peace, I think we can have Israel do the same in the Arab world.”
Emphasizing the United States as the world's most influential force, Yasin argues that peaceful coexistence between Israel and the Arab world provides important economic and political benefits. He also argues that America “has the capacity to make this old conflict a past conflict.”
“It is clear to everyone that Israel and the Arab world must coexist peacefully, and it has made great profits in terms of stability, trade and the local economy that truly could take off,” he writes.
Yasin, who established the Saudi Arabian Intelligence Agency in the United States, also emphasizes the need for a reconciliation between the US, Russia and China.
“American reconciliation and strengthening cooperation between Russia and China can be set on the stage of a more peaceful and cooperative world order,” he writes.
He calls for a change in global attitudes towards President Trump's leadership, and challenges critics to rethink their stance.
“If these objectives are within the scope of the New World Order of Coexistence and Cooperation, those currently opposed to Trump should give him a chance, encourage him and allow him to assert his credibility to achieve his goals of global peace and stability,” he writes.
Reflecting past times of global conflict, Yasin said, “We once lived in an era of mutually guaranteed destruction. Let us at least try the age of mutually recommended cooperation.”
He urges global leaders to support President Trump's vision, and emphasizes that difficult but effective solutions should not be rejected.
“President Perchance is on something. Perhaps we can all benefit from doubts,” he wrote, adding, “The drug doesn't always taste good, but if it works, we should all be open to it to guide a new era of peace, stability and cooperation.”
This issue comes when President Trump begins his new term and declares his desire to become a “peace director” on the world stage.
Since taking office, he has worked actively to mediate a ceasefire agreement between Ukraine and Russia, promoting an ambitious Gaza relocation program aimed at ending conflicts through thinking outside the box.
