Nets blow another lead in loss to Hornets as losing skid hits seven

After a big lead against Golden State on Thursday, the net had an encore meltdown on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina

Brooklyn smashed the stretch with a 105-102 loss with the Hornets.

This was far worse after wasting 22 points of cushions against the Warriors at home.

The net (21-42) spitted a 17-point lead and then got a nine-point advantage with just 3.5 minutes remaining against the stenographic Charlotte team without the lamello ball.

Brooklyn marked the fifth inning when Brooklyn lost and blew a 17-point lead, according to Elias.

The net overtook 34-9 on the second chance point, overtaking the stretch and husting.

“For the effort to complete the property, that's just a shame. They had 9 34 second chance points, a 25-point derivative,” Jordi Fernandez said. “We had a lead and we weren't responsible for finishing the game. You can see how our energy and our engagement went up and down. It's immature. I'm the first person to have to control it. If this happens to our team, it's my fault.”

NETS led 97-83 with seven minutes remaining after D'Angelo Russell (game-high 28 points, seven assists, six rebounds) hit a 3 pointer from Noah Clowney's feed. But they ran the rest of the road 22-5.

The net was not glued when faced with the pressure of Charlotte's balls.

The net didn't score again after Cam Thomas found Ziaire Williams (19 points) with three pointers and the remaining 102-93 lead at 4:03.

They missed the final seven shots and admitted dozens of unanswered points.

Damion Beau hit a layup and played the lead at 2:11 to cut it to 102-101, with Russell losing the ball from the boundary.

After Nick Smith Jr. missed the jumper, Brooklyn boxed out and threw a Mussa Deabate snake in.

The net was tracked for the first time since 4-3 and was unable to recover. They got the ball in Thomas's hand, but he was blocked by Milesbridge in 4.7 seconds to play.

The Charlotte star scored a career-high 46 points on Friday, earning 26 points a night later, but he broke the net on the other end of the floor.

Smith iced the other end. Trendon Watford's half-court heave was bordered by a buzzer.

“It's not one property,” Fernandez said. “They scored 20 second chance points in the first half and 14 in the second half. When they lose on one possession, that's not acceptable.

“They wanted it more than we did. When that happens, the basketball gods usually help you. That's what happened tonight.”

The net is the half-match behind Toronto in lottery rankings after the Raptors had a basket that won in a game overturned by reviews.

Brooklyn is half a match than Philadelphia in lottery rankings.

However, Fernandez wasn't worried about it in his post-match message to his team about the need to pay attention to the details of the stretch.

“I think we're just doing everything we need to win at the end of the game,” Russell said. “It could be a simple thing like box-out, rebound, free throw, etc. You're just locked up for 48 minutes and attacking the scouting report. Focused.”

Clowney scored a scoreless 18:06 in his first action since January 27th.
