Musk says Starlink is ‘backbone of the Ukrainian army,’ ‘entire front line would collapse if I turned it off’

Billionaire Elon Musk said on Sunday that turning off Starlink satellite internet constellations will destroy Ukraine's frontline The country emphasizes its frustration in the war with Russia, “a year of a deadly massacre that Ukraine inevitably loses.”

Musk, also a senior adviser to President Donald Trump, first responded to Senator Mike Lee's X post, who said “not another penny to Ukraine,” in response to a post from another user questioning whether US taxpayers paid the huge Ukrainian flag decorated in front of the White House.

“Place sanctions on the top 10 oligarchs in Ukraine, especially those with a Monaco mansion. This will stop soon. That's the key to the puzzle,” Musk replied to Lee.

Another user agreed to Musk's position that anyone who engages in corruption should be approved, but told SpaceX and Tesla founders that Russian President Vladimir Putin should “pretend” that he is not an attacker. Users said that Musk appears to be focusing solely on criticizing Ukraine, but not Putin.

Musk challenges Putin to a physical battle, replies by saying Starlink is “the backbone of the Ukrainian army.”

“I literally challenge Putin to one physical battle over Ukraine, and my Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army.

“What I'm tired of is the year of a deadly massacre that Ukraine inevitably loses,” he continued. “Anyone who really cares, really thinks and understands, wants to stop the meat crushing. Peace now!!”
