Sergio Garcia wins his second LIV golf title In Hong Kong, they shot a 7-under 63 to win three people in the South African Dean Bar Mester.
After the victory, Garcia was asked questions about the Ryder Cup. Whether European Captain Luke Donald has adjusted to see the victory.
“I think he's watching,” Garcia said.
“We're in touch and I know he keeps his eyes on. The only thing I can do is keep playing good golf. I just want to help a European team, like I'm trying to do every time I'm on that team.
Datagolf currently lists Garcia As a player ranked 37th in the world, he is also the 11th best European in the rankings. He has a game to make teams. Especially if he's playing well in the majors this year. Garcia placed 12th at last year's US Open.
However, when Garcia joined Liv Golf in 2022, he resigned from his DP World Tour membership and banned him from playing for a European team in Rome in 2023. Since then, he has made amendments on the DP World Tour and hopes to become a member soon and represent Europe's blue and gold in Beth Page Black.
“I've been talking to the European tour, but I still want to support the European tour, so hopefully we all come to an agreement and that can be restored,” Garcia said in November.
“I still feel that my game is enough to play at least two or three Ryder Cups, so if I can maintain that level, I hope everything will be sorted out and I can reach that point.”
Garcia is the most won rider Kupper of all time. He scored 28 points in 10 appearances for Team Europe, helping his side win six times. He last played in Whistle Straits in 2021. The Americans ruled there, winning 19-9. However, Garcia scored three points and posted a 3-1-0 record. Only John Rahm had Garcia gained more points than he had on the week.
“We've had some chats and he's considering joining again.[DPワールドツアー]Donald said in New York in October.[theDPWorldTour”DonaldsaidinOctoberNewYork[theDPWorldTour”DonaldsaidinOctoberinNewYork
“He must follow all the rules and regulations like everyone else. If he does, he is entitled to participate in the Ryder Cup.”
If Garcia continues to play well, Donald will have no choice but to pick him for his team. The sound makes him entitled to play for him as well.
