In this week's edition of FNC's “Fox News Sunday,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for how he treated himself in the White House a few weeks ago.
However, South Carolina Republicans warned that if the US pulls a plug in Ukraine, the outcome would be “worst than Afghanistan.”
Host Maria Bartilomo said: There have been reports that it is hindering Ukraine's ability to protect it from this new wave of attack from Russia. Have you talked to the White House about that? How worried are you about the long-term consequences of the suspension? ”
“Yeah, I spoke with Mike Waltz a few days ago,” Graham replied. “The goal is to honor the war and end it rightly. Zelensky blew it out in the White House. We've been working on this mineral steel for a very long time, and we're one of us. Yeah, I'm worried about blocking out intelligence and weapons to Ukraine as long as the battle is happening. If you pull the plug in Ukraine, it's worse than Afghanistan. I'm not thinking of the president. Trump There is a desire to do that. But until a ceasefire occurs, I will give Ukraine what I need in terms of intelligence and weapons. ”
He added: “From a Russian perspective, I will introduce sanctions next week on their banking and energy sectors and urge them to get to the table if they are not engaged in government and ceasefires and peace negotiations. We should sanction hell from them. And I have laws to do that next week.”
