Jets’ Justin Fields home run could be exactly what Garrett Wilson needs

This is a kind of move that is an athletic ex-round draft choice that can become a home run if you can properly develop him and give him the opportunity to grow as a new regime.

For Aaron Glenn and Darren Moogie, Landing Justin Fields is the antithesis of Aaron Rodgers' head coach and rookie general manager, not under enormous pressure and will not be desperate to win immediately in the way that Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas returned from Achilles surgery in 2024.

Fields turned 26 earlier this month, and he (and his two-year, $40 million deal) will be welcomed by his former Ohio teammate, Garrett Wilson, who hadn't sang “Kumbaya” with Rogers, especially when Davante Adams became his primary recipient.

Good news for Jets fans who were worried that Wilson was tired of his three-year loss and poor quarterback play and were dissatisfied enough to seek trade.
