Mexican authorities attempted to distribute credits for a massive seizure of females, carried out by officers of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Rome, Texas.
The attack occurred on the Loma International Bridge on March 5th, when CBP officials encountered a cargo truck traveling through a large amount of mineral water. A prepared statement by the CBP revealed that authorities used police drug supply dogs and scanning equipment to check the cargo and seized more than 1,600 bottles of mineral water.
in Statement from CBP“This huge methamphetamine attack shows the incredible work CBP officials do to keep their boundaries safe every day,” said Port Director Andres Guerra.
The statement from the CBP does not mention the involvement of cooperation from Mexican authorities.
However, the Mexican National Guard issued a statement claiming that the Mexican military, the Mexican Navy, the Mexican Attorney General's Office, the Mexican National Guard and the Mexican Public Security Office worked with the CBP to grab the drugs and arrest the driver. In their statement, Mexican authorities provided accurate amounts of seizing drugs as previously shared by the CBP, with some of the agents posing next to the cargo.
The contradiction with the Mexican statement comes exactly one day later investigation The Breitbart News Foundation has revealed that Mexico's new National Guard checkpoints failed to cause significant seizures at all northbound ports of entry, but have doubled or tripled the wait time for drivers to try to cross to the United States.
The checkpoint on the Mexican side of the border began in February after President Donald J. Trump threatened Mexico with a series of tariffs and pressured drugs and human smuggling. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has been sent to 10,000 borders to appease Trump. However, while CBP continues to have massive drug attacks on the north side, Mexico has actually only reported one attack carried out by US authorities.
