Ex-Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg’s assistant Sarah Wynn-Williams worked while in labor: book

A woman who previously worked in Meta's former manipulation claims that Cheryl Sandberg's chief was tasked with drafting “topics” for her boss while she was working with her first child.

Sarah Williams, author of an explosive memoir of her six-year tenure at the company known as Facebook at the time, wrote a poignant review of Sandberg, including allegations that her then-boss invited her to “sleep” in her pyjamas while flying on a private jet.

Wynn-Williams, a director of public policy on Facebook, recalled recalling that she gave birth to her firstborn in January 2014 under the title of her new book. “A careless people: warning stories of power, greed, and lost idealism.”

“I'll get a message,” she wrote. “Cheryl is unexpectedly about to come to a meeting with the Brazilian president in Davos, and she wants to be talked about.”

Wynn-Williams torched Sandberg's hardworking work ethic in light of her bestselling 2013 book “Lean In: Women, Work and Will to Lead” This encourages women to become more ambitious in their careers while asserting themselves in the corporate executive office.

“I'm in the delivery room, my legs are stirrups and I'm working,” Wynn Williams wrote. “I called and reached for my laptop. I'm going to start drafting.”

According to the book, her husband, Tom, was incredible, nearby.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“I just got some story points for Cheryl,” replied Wynn Williams to her husband, according to the memoir.

“Sarah, no,” her husband told her.

But Wynn-Williams lasted.

“I'm continuing to typing,” she wrote. It says that her husband “please appeal to my doctor, someone who knows that he has a deep respect for me…”

But Wynn-Williams tells her husband and doctor “two more minutes” despite being “intermittently.”

According to Wynn-Williams, the doctor “reach out to my laptop and gently close it.”

“She says, “It's very special to have your first child. I don't think you should work through it. Sheryl will understand.”

“She won't,” replied Wynn Williams. “Let me push the send.”

At that time the doctor replied: “You should be pushing. Please don't send it.”

Wynn-Williams wrote:[d]Please respond to the disapproval of the room,” she said, “We'll resume soon.[ed] Laptop. ”

“I'll send you an email. I know what this looks like, and I can't protect it.”

Wynn-Williams wrote that she was “embarrassed” despite “I can't blame this entirely on Facebook.”

“I was this kind of ambitious person. I don't want to disappoint people, but it's also true that on Facebook, I didn't feel like I had a choice,” she wrote.

The post is being asked for comment from Sandberg and Facebook's parent company Meta.

Wynn-Williams also claimed that Sandberg spent $13,000 in lingerie on herself and another subordinate, her personal assistant, “Sadie,” and was frustrated when Wynn-Williams refused an invitation to “come to the Bed” while flying a private jet.

According to Wynn-Williams, Sandberg and Sadie will take turns sleeping on each other's laps and stroke each other's hair while on a road trip.

Sandberg has so far refused to comment on the claim.

Wynn-Williams also accused another meta-executive, Joel Kaplan of sexually harassing her. Meta said it had conducted a lengthy internal investigation into the claims.

“This is a combination of previously reported claims about the company and false accusations about our executives,” a Meta spokesman told the post.

“Eight years ago, Sarah Wynn Williams was fired for her poor performance and toxic behavior, and investigations at the time determined that she had misled and unfounded harassment.”

“She has been paid for by anti-flac activists ever since, but this is simply a continuation of the job. The whistleblower status protects communication to the government, not the disgruntled activists trying to sell the book.”
