United Nations announces initiative aimed at reducing spending as threat of US cuts loom

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced the UN80 Initiative on Wednesday, a project commemorating the 80th anniversary of the international organization. On paper, the initiative aims to improve efficiency, see implementation of powers of attorney, and rebuild the system. However, several UN critics argue that this is an international body's way of supporting the potential for US spending reductions.

“This is far beyond technology. The UN budget is not just about the number of balance sheets, it's a matter of life and death for millions of people around the world,” Secretary General Guterres told reporters Wednesday.

He denied that the UN80 initiative is a “version of Doge” and said it was not a response to our potential reductions.

The organization's head Doge-Un Hugh Dugan has dismissed the UN80 initiative as an “effort to send a major distinctive greeting card to the world.”

“He now has an eight-10 year opportunity to start what he wants. With the remaining 18 or 19 months, there's no time to offer a reason to think his team will pivot and burn the world in a way that Elon Musk is doing, becoming a foot race,” Dugan told Fox News Digital.

Preparing for spending reductions at Doge Roots Out Us shows our waste, internal documentation shows

If UN80 was intended as a response to a US cut, when it was pushed against Fox News Digital during a midday briefing, and if the Secretary General was worried about Elon Musk, Secretary General Stéphane Dujarric mentioned the comments the Secretary General made that day.

The Touro Institute on Human Rights Institute and President of Holocaust and Holocaust, Anne Bayefsky, responded to the Secretary-General's comments. She denounced the United Nations as “a bloated, corrupt, deeply anti-American and anti-Semitic institution.”

“Every time the US government tries to explain the power of the wallet or change this pointless equation, the UN can drive out the fake 'reform' and the US president and Doge can change this evil situation,” Bayefsky told Fox News Digital.

“Obviously, Guterres is deeply concerned that he will be called out to his full nonsense about being engaged in a 'ambitious reform agenda',” she added.

An internal UN document on the “liquidity crisis” recently obtained by Fox News Digital appears to show that intuition is blessed with itself, due to the potential for Doge-related spending reductions.

Despite a UN memo that says cutting 80% of allotted funds could potentially harm the entities, insiders told Dugan they wouldn't see a “real cut.”

Guterres is expected to address the UN's financial situation at virtual city hall next month. Although no topic was specified in the Town Hall invitation, Dujarric confirmed that finances will be discussed.
