Still one of the most interesting free agents in the NFL market is quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He is scheduled to be officially released by the New York Jets as the new league year begins at 4pm on Wednesday.
Rogers was able to talk to other teams about finding a new home after a two-year tenure in New York failed.
The Steelers win the Giants. Pittsburgh was a playoff team last season, while New York was 3-14. Pittsburgh also made a big move, bringing wide receiver DK Metcalf in a massive trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Steelers provide Rogers with a good roster to get the job done each week. However, the legend of one team does not believe it was a match held in soccer heaven.
ESPN analyst Ryan Clark, who played eight of 13 NFL seasons with the Steelers while winning the Super Bowl in the franchise, explained why Rogers and the Steelers feel that they will lead to “the garbage season” using the famous Disney film The Lion King.
The bill agrees to five Pro Bowler Joe Bosa contracts on a one-year contract: Report
“Suppose you've put a scar on your team. Do you know the scars from the Mufasa movie and the Lion King? ” Clark told a colleague about “Get Up.” “Mufasa is about to become the brother of the scar. Did you know that the name of the scar was in front of the scar? It was a Taka. Do you know what the hawk means? Garbage, it's wasted. You can waste Aaron Rodgers there and waste the season.
Clark supported the opinion that Rodgers would join his former team, saying that it had nothing to do with his four-time MVP quarterback gelling with head coach Mike Tomlin. Instead, he believes working with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who joined Pittsburgh last season, could be a challenge.

“We can create locker rooms where we can try and figure out who will win the battle of what Arthur Smith and Aaron Rodgers want to attack,” Clark explained. “They know what Arthur Smith wants. He wants to run football. He wants to get a play action pass. That's not the way Aaron Rodgers likes to play football.
“So it's not the kind of person that Mike Tomlin is mixed with anyone. Anyone can coach and motivate anyone.
Clark is more animated when discussing Rogers' personality and the top receivers he would have if he went to Pittsburgh, calling it all “crashouts.”
“Yes, it's great. It's great that you got DK Metcalf and George Pickens out there, but you got two crashouts,” Clark said. “Are you going to do two crashouts at wide receiver and add a quiet crash at quarterback? Hell.

If Rodgers doesn't head for the Steelers, last season's team starter Russell Wilson is also a free agent and can return to Pittsburgh.
Rodgers' 20th NFL season wasn't something he planned, making him 5-12 as the Jets starter with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for 3,897 passing yards.
