Your DVD is dying – and it has nothing to do with streaming apps.
DVDs may be a thing of the past, but if you're someone who maintains your collection, you'll need to see if they've become victims of disc rot – especially if they're titles distributed by Warner Bros Home Entertainment (WBHE).

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment recognizes potential issues affecting some DVD titles produced between 2006 and 2008, and the company has been actively working with consumers to replace defective discs,” the statement said.
“If possible, defective discs have been replaced with the same title, however, consumers are being offered exchanges for value titles because some of the affected titles are no longer printed or rights have expired.”
WBHE discs are not the only discs at risk of being victimized by DVD corruption, but they stand out, apparently for years to be a problem among collectors and film enthusiasts.
