Sean “Diddy” Combs' defense accused CNN of altering and destroying the video showing the rapper physically attacking his ex-girlfriend.
Hotel surveillance footage released by the outlet last May showed that Comb and Cathy Ventura were engaged in a physical altercation. The footage is provided to Combs' defense at a federal sex trafficking trial, but the rapper claims that “I miss you” has been “significantly changed.”
“The defense confirmed that all CNN video footage has been significantly changed in a significant way, in a significant way, through forensic video analysis of footage provided by CNN in response to the defense subpoena.” “This includes covering timestamps and then changing the video sequence. It also involves speeding up the video so that the video action appears to be incorrect. As a result, CNN video does not portray the event in question fairly and accurately.”
“Finally, with defense, CNN purchased only known copies of the hotel's surveillance footage, uploaded the footage to free editing software, altered the video, and destroyed the original footage despite repeated reports of federal investigations.”
