The 12-year-old was seriously injured when he fell off a Queens train while surfing the subway during the rush hour Friday morning, officers said.
Preteen was recklessly on train No. 7 when he fell off the side around 8:15am at 111th Street Station on Covid, authorities said.
He landed on the tracks but was not hit by the train, police said.
The boy was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was initially listed in a critical state, police said.
Officers said he was considered critical but stable late in the morning.
The boy's almost tragic stunt came almost five months after 13-year-old Christel Romero was killed. Her 14-year-old companion left the fight for her life after the subway surfed at the same station in October.
Also in October, 13-year-old Brooklyn boy, Adolfo Solzano, was killed at Forestablishment Station after his family said it was an attempt at the Virus Tiktoc Challenge.
In January, the 16-year-old was hospitalized with a leg injury when he fell off a train F surfing at Briarwood Metro Station.
