MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell says he isI'm exhausted“We must take a break from his evening show by covering President Donald Trump's energetic second term.
The 73-year-old liberal host has been leading his own show on the Progressive Network since 2010 after becoming executive producer and editor of the Emmy-winning political show The West Wing.
“I thought it was day 92. I think it was Rachel on day 52. And I'm tired.”
O'Donnell announced a break from the show each night after signing off on a discussion with fellow host Rachel Madow.
“This is Day 52. I thought it was Day 92. It's Day 52, Rachel, and I'm exhausted on Day 52, so I'm off next week.
“I'm just going to take a break next week and then I'm going back and go with you for 100 days,” he added.
O'Donnell is a relentless critic of Trump and his policies. He opened the show on Friday with a critique hinting at the president's mental disability.
“And at this time, America has finished its 52nd day with a US president whose brain is not working,” he insisted. “Donald Trump's brain is broken and he's been badly damaged, as he displays every day.”
I've seen some MSNBC growth In its rating since Trump's election victory, it's still far below the Fox News rating Bonanza.
