Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent said at an NBC “report” on Sunday that Americans were “traumatized” by the Biden administration's “affluent crisis.”
“I'm not saying it's been a long time for the Biden administration and the media. I'm not going to point my fingers, but they said it's an atmosphere session and the American people don't know what they're talking about.”
He continued. “Donald Trump, his administration, myself, believe that Americans know what they are feeling and believe that our policies will change it. Obviously, they are traumatized by what happened in this affordable price crisis brought about by the previous administration. They want relief. We are eight weeks. We are confident that Americans will walk our path, despite the fact that some of the media stories aren't.”
Bessent added: They are normal. Those that are not healthy are straightforward. You can get a market for these euphoric states. That's how you get a financial crisis. If someone had put the brakes on in 2007, 2007, then they would have been much healthier. They probably didn't have any problems in '08. So I'm not worried about the market. If we implement good tax policies over the long term, deregulation and energy security will be great. ”
