Star independent wrestler Vince Steel, known as the “Jurassic Juggernaut,” passed away after suffering a medical emergency during Sunday's match.
He was 39 years old.
According to PwinsiderSteele was taking part in a four-way match at the BRII Combination Wrestling (BCW) event in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Fightful reported.
“During yesterday's event, Vince suffered a medical emergency in the ring. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Ridgefield Park Police Department, who was on the scene within minutes and was immediately provided with emergency medical assistance.” bcw posted to x on monday. “Despite their prompt response and the best efforts of the first responders, we tragically lost Vince.”
“This is an unimaginable loss and we look to patience and respect in handling this tragedy,” BCW added. “In the coming days, we will share details about our plans to celebrate Vince's incredible legacy.”
In addition to BCW, Steele worked with Florida Coastal Championship Wrestling (CCW) and New Jersey Ace Pro Wrestling. He has been wrestling since 2004.

The entire professional wrestling community is saddened by the loss of the “Jurassic Juggernaut.”
“[Sunday] It was the worst day of my career. Vince Steel gave everything to professional wrestling and today he gave his life for it.” fellow professional wrestler Vincent Michaels said. “All the wrestlers/referees/crews on hand did everything they could to keep him going. They should be proud of it. I know.”
