CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten said on Monday that Democrats' approval ratings were at record lows.
Enten said, “Do you want to go lower than that? What about 27%? Both are record lows, the lowest on CNN polling in 1992 and the lowest on NBC News polling in 1990. The majority of Americans have a detrimental or negative view of Democrats at this point.”
Host John Berman asked, “What about Democrats in Congress, especially?”
Enten said, “Do you think these numbers are low? What do you think? Holy Toledo. Voters' views on Congressional Democrats among all voters disapprove of 68%. And look at just 21% of the approved numbers. Even lower than the overall Democrats. This is the lowest record for Democrats, according to the Kinnipiac University vote.”
He added: “Do you think these numbers are bad? Let's go this side of the screen. Let's see how Democrats feel. Get this, and multiple Democrats disapprove of Democrats in Congress at 49%, and only 40% approve. Fearful, scary, scary. Ah, my goodness, you can't get any worse than these numbers.”
