Pickpocket targets 89-year-old vic in Rockefeller Center, swipes $4,700: cops

Police say a merciless Rockefeller Center pickpocket snatched nearly $5,000 in cash from an 89-year-old man.

Police and sources say the elderly victim was down the stairs inside Lockefferer Center Station in midtown Manhattan.

The suspect swiped his wallet from the senior's left rear pocket. Authorities said the wallet had $4,700 in cash and a debit card.

The elderly victim reported theft on Sunday, while suspects in their late 20s or early 30s still have a loose end to Monday, officers and sources said.


On December 20, 2005, due to a traffic strike in New York City, he started his turn with a yellow warning tape at Rockefeller Center Station.

The latest NYPD data shows that it has been declining so far within the city's subway system, but so far it has been declining, with 188 such incidents reported as of Sunday.
