Georgia firefighter Scott Kerlin arrested obstruction of death scene twin brothers Qaadir and Naazir Lewis

A Georgia firefighter was fired and arrested on charges of allegedly taking pictures of the horrifying scene in which the twins, 19-year-old brother, were found dead on the mountain.

Towns County volunteer firefighter Scott Carlin is accused of interfering with an investigation into the deaths of Lawrenceville brothers Kaadir and Naazil Lewis on March 8th.

Shutterbug, 42, is said to have shared photos of the scenes of the Lewis brothers' death with the public, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced Tuesday.

The mystery surrounding the location of the Lewis brothers first occurred when he missed a 7am flight from Atlanta on March 7th.

Their bodies were found by hikers around 11am the following day near the North Carolina border, about 117 miles northeast of the airport.

A twin in the Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville died on suspicion of murder and suicide, according to a preliminary investigation by the GBI.

Authorities did not say who the gunman was during the shooting.

They were to visit a friend in Boston at the time of their death.

The family says their plane tickets were found in the wallets at the scene.

The autopsy is complete, but the inspector is waiting for additional forensic examinations before releasing the results.

Carlin of Hiawasey was charged with obstructing a misdemeanor.

According to the outlet, he later bonded from prison.

Authorities did not release additional details of the incident.

The grieving relative struggled to accept the cause of the murder and suicide, claiming that there was a “huge support system” if the brothers were in trouble.

“We're trying to understand what happened. We're putting together the pieces and understanding. How did they end up in the mountains? They don't hike there. They weren't there.” He told WSBTV.

Twin uncle Rahim Brauner shared similar feelings as he had never heard of his brothers physically abusing each other.

“I've never seen them get caught up in a fist fight before, so I can't imagine them hurting each other,” their uncle said. “Murder suicide? I just believe they can't do that.”
