Rachel Zegler is looking for a gang of her own girls.
The Snow White star said in a new interview that she wants to find a sister relationship in Hollywood and doesn't think that despite the competitive nature of the entertainment industry women need to see each other as rivals.
“It's sisters that I'm really looking for in this business, and they aren't necessarily hard to find,” she said. I told Allure For a March 2025 cover story released on Tuesday.
“It's often said that other women should be your competition and I'm not subscribing to it.”
Zegler, 23, is still strong and looking for supportive friendships, but a few women have already stepped up and taken her under the wings.
“Jameela Jamil is like a sister to me,” she gushed out. “I love that she, frankly, has no regrets about being strong-willed and strong-willed.”
Her “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” co-stars Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu have also played a major role in her career.
“[They] I'm my keeper in all this and there I feel very restrained by them,” Zeggler said.
Ariana Grande recently provided support for Zegler as she prepares for a live-action Disney remake in which she will hit theatres on Friday.
“She reached out to me – nothing like that – and then she said, 'If you need something, I'm here,'” she revealed.
The “West Side Story” star pointed out that Grande, who also emerges from “Wicked”'s global press tour, is “very deep and kind.”
“She has gone through a lot in the public eye, and I've always and truly admired her courage in the face of it,” she said of the “Eternal Sunlight” singer.
“In search of women's friendship” in the cutthroat industry, Zegler said, “There may be space for all of us.” [women] No matter what someone else thinks of you. ”
“I really believe in defending your friends and defending your colleagues. “So the second thing about having intimidation and competition is, according to Charli XCX, just talk about it and talk about it. ”
However, it doesn't seem to be all solved by remix.
Earlier this month, Variety reported that Disney was reducing its “Snow White” promotion due to backlash and rumoured tension between Zegler and co-star Gal Gadot.
Sauce later I told people The Zegler “has nothing in common” with Gadot, a 16-year-old senior and mother of four.
“Additionally, their political views are different and they add to tension,” the insider added.
“Gals are troubled by the dramas of the film,” a second source told the magazine. “She enjoyed filming. She was fine with Rachel, but they're not friends. They have nothing in common. … They worked together, that's it.”
The 39-year-old “Wonder Woman” star reportedly got mad at how Zeggler caused “drama” to the project by speaking negatively about the original 1937 film.
However, a third insider agreed that their “very different political views” were the biggest driver of the fallout.
Zegler was a major supporter of Palestine throughout, but Israel-Hamas WarGadot was born in Israel and served in the Israeli army.
Both women are very frank about different political views online, and Zegler is tied up Her “free Palestine” messaging In movie promotion.
Disney is said to have felt that Zegler was “out of control” and that he “didn't know what to do.”
“She's an outspoken 20s, and Disney chiefs called her directly and asked her to tone down her post,” an insider told Page 6 earlier this month. “They called her management team, but she wouldn't listen.
“It was all full throughout the filming, but it's upsetting that it links her politics to 'Snow White'. ”
Despite the rumors behind the scenes, the two women gathered for the 2025 Oscars and most recently posed together at the Hollywood Premiere.
