President Trump's close adviser, high-tech billionaire Elon Musk, said his life was at stake by his heavy involvement in the administration and that he might want to die because he “stops their fraud.”
Musk, who is tapped by Trump late last year to lead the government's Office of Efficiency (DOGE), told Fox News' Sean Hannity on Tuesday night, “You're people's… scams, money being scams, they're very upset, and they're basically stopping scams, I want to kill me.”
“And they want to hurt Tesla because they're stopping this terrible waste and corruption in the government. And I think they're bad people. Bad people do bad things.”
Doge, who appears to be adopting a new leadership, has led the administration's move to combat “waste and fraud,” identifying abuse among various government programs. The controversial advisory group worked with the president to rethink the federal workforce.
The committee has investigated a variety of federal sectors and agencies, ranging from the United States Organization for International Development (USAID) to the American Institute of Peace, with thousands of workers firing and withholding funds allocated to Congress. Doge has been heavily intense from Democrats in Congress and faces many legal challenges in court.
Musk said Tuesday that government fraud is “very expensive” and is causing a $2 trillion annual deficit and that he is worried that the US is bankrupt due to “waste corruption.”
“And because our debt costs are so high, only interest payments on debt exceed the entire military budget,” said a high-tech entrepreneur who owns six major companies. “And it was just out of control. That's why the country was bankrupt.”
“It's just… the country is not different from people,” he continued. “If a country is overbearing and not being wise, like a person, it will go bankrupt.”
He also showed weight compared to recent attacks at Tesla dealers around the world. The company's charging stations, car lots and showrooms are targeted both in the US and elsewhere in the world.
“It's really shocking to see this level of hatred and violence from the left. I've always thought the Democrats were the party of empathy, the party of compassion, but they're burning sellers, they're firing bombs, they're firing bullets at sellers.
“Tesla is a peaceful company. We've never done anything harmful,” he said.
Several Tesla vehicles flare up in Las Vegas this week. The Metropolitan Police Department in Las Vegas is still searching for suspects. According to the FBI field office, the attack also occurred in Kansas City, Missouri, causing dealer cybertruck to be damaged.
“And I think there's a lot of power in the work too. I mean, I don't know. Who's funding it and who's adjusting it? Because this is crazy.” “I've never seen anything like this.”
