St. John's on Omaha (-18.5)

Rick Pitino never sweated as the number one or two seed in the opening game of the tournament, winning by averaging more than 31 points. The Mavericks score over 78 points per game, but this matchup is equivalent to throwing a powerful kindergarten swimmer into the middle of the Pacific Ocean. OMAHA – Double-digit defeats to South Dakota, St. Thomas Minnesota, Iowa, Montana, Alabama and Abilene Christian, facing one comparable opponent this season, suffering a 32-point loss to Iowa, 27 points below the season average.

Yale on Texas A&M (+7.5)

Yale has appeared in his fifth tournament under James Jones since 2016, previously shocking Baylor, suffering a five-point loss to LSU before Auburn's upset last year. Yale lost once in 2025, and the veteran roster can push another Power Four, featuring top 10 three-point shooting, top 20 turnover rates and 21st defensive rebound rates. The Aggies could have a hard time clearing up the Ivy League champions in a high-pressure environment that ranks 274th in free throw shooting (69.5).

Arkansas, Kansas (+4.5)

The top-ranked teams in the preseason have the most losses in 36 years, entering the tournament with 1-6 marks with teams on the field in the last seven games. Similarly, Arkansas has not maintained much of the season, but has averaged 81.5 points in the last eight games, while the Hogs have beaten four tournament teams in the past month. Arkansas has the size and athletic ability to match the paint demonstrated in the pig's 16-point preseason victory over Kansas. And he takes the spark with the return of Guard Boogie Fland, second leading scorer (15.1) and assist (5.7) national freshman leader (5.7).

Wofford on Tennessee (-18.5)

Less than two weeks later, Wofford was one game over .500 and the sixth seed at the Southern Conference. The small lineup with heavy guards has two rotation players over 6 feet six, which makes it difficult to look good against the length and aggression of one of the nation's elite defenses. Wofford is over 27 or more 3-pointers per game, but the second-seeded Vols boasts the country's highest 3-point defense (27.8). The Terrier's only similar matchup came against Duke when they scored 35 points and lost by the age of 51.

Drake on Missouri (+6.5)

The Tigers' frustration, which has lost four of their last five games and removed for two years from a loss of 15 points in the tournament to Princeton, will easily come against the slowest paced team on the land. Drake (30-3), the owner of the country's top scoring defense (58.4), was 6-0 against the spread as the underdog this season, winning a complete victory at Vanderbilt and Kansas.
