Dean Phillips calls out ‘great way to lose even more Democrats’

D-Minn. Rep. Dean Philps suggests that it's not a political strategy to win billionaire business tycoon Elon Musk.

“It's one thing to oppose his initiative, but calling it the US citizen @elonmusk who built “Nepo Baby in South Africa,” some of the most innovative companies in world history, is a great way to lose more Democrats,” Phillips said in a post on X on Wednesday.

Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz recently used the phrase to refer to masks leading the government's efforts to expose waste and fraud.

“And there's nothing conservative about a South African NEPO baby who's not elected in the VA, firing people,” he said in a statement in Iowa last week.

He also unfolded the phrase while speaking in Wisconsin on Tuesday. New York Timesit also reported that he called the mask “dip.”

Waltz was later a ally of Vice President Kamala Harris when he called for presidency last year, but the Democrat duo lost to a Republican ticket led by the political juggernaut, led by current President Donald Trump.

“Regardless of Musk's opinion, this is a great strategy to further alienate the Center right and the Center, lose federal elections and lose federal elections,” Phillips retweeted a post earlier this month featuring footage of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's DN.Y., calling Musk “a billionaear scammer with lots of money.”
