Full card picks for Edwards vs. Brady

This is the best UFC Fight Night I've ever remembered recently.

On Saturday afternoon, the UFC departs from the warehouse known as the pinnacle and heads to UFC London's 02 Arena.

The lineup is headed by England's own Leon Edwards, who comes as a loser to rising star Sean Brady.

The cards begin at 1pm ET and the entire show will air on ESPN+.

Leon Edwards vs. Sean Brady

The headliner on this card shouldn't have been that way, as Edwards wanted to win a welterweight rematch with Beral Muhammad.

He was then handed over for a fight, and Jack Della Madarena intervened for a title shot.

Edwards profiles as a better striker in this fight, and Brady's improvement in the region is an X-factor.

Brady certainly should have the edge in the grappling division, but whether he can get a fight with Matt is a big question.

Edwards looked stupid in trying to defend the takedown against Muhammad, surrendering nine men in a fight he was so badly lost in the unanimous decision.

Brady can do the same, with him averaging 3.49 takedowns per 15 minutes, higher than Muhammad's 2.26 takedowns.

It's impressive how things become hairy for Brady. He was tko'd in their battle by Muhammad, but that is his only loss.

If this reaches the mat, Brady should look dominant.

My only problem is that Brady is not a cardioff first volume wrestler and Edwards has never been submitted in his career.

He allowed nine takedowns last time so I'm concerned about his ability to defend, but considering Kamal Usman struggled to get him to the ground in other fights, I'm not overly worried.

Edwards doesn't seem to have lost a step athletic, and his chin should be fine.

Here I bet on Edwards as a bigger loser than I expected.

Pick: Leon Edwards ML (+140, Caesars Sportsbook)

Jan Blachowicz vs. Carlos Ulberg

In the light heavyweight division, Jan Brakowicz vs. Carlos Ulberg appears as an interesting match between Ulberg's hopeful candidate and Brakowicz gatekeeper.

Blachowicz is a massive underdog in this battle. This is a bit surprising given that he is truly losing just to defend Alex Pereira (loss of division prejudice), and he even had a draw against Now-Champ Magomed Ankalaev.

Ulberg is a nasty striker, defeating five of his final six opponents in the finish, three of whom are knocked out in the first round.

However, Blachowicz hasn't been knocked out since 2019, nearly defeating Pereira while he was winning the title.

Blachowicz awakes at age. It's always a factor when you bet on this sport.

But if the Bracowitch, which we've known and loved for years, enters that octagon, I think he'd raised his hand this weekend.

Pick: Brakovic by decision (+510, betmgm)
