Three firefighters injured battling two-alarm Staten Island house fire

Reports say three firefighters were injured in fighting two alarm flames at their Staten Island home on Saturday night.

A fire broke out at Rosewood Place in Tompkinsville on the island's North Shore just past 7pm. According to ABC 7.

Three firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital in stable condition, the report said.

Dozens of smoke eaters responded to a major fire in residential areas not too far from Silver Lake Park.

A video posted to the Citizen app shows the roaring flame of the house's boldness in the wind as the fire truck arrives on scene.

Videos from other witnesses show the structure of the house completely torched by the rising flame.

As FDNY wiped out the flames, many Staten Islanders can see them looking from the sidewalk.

The fire eventually broke out, showing serious burning on the upper floors, according to a video from the Civic App.
