Border Emperor Tom Homan on Sunday said the Trump administration is confident that all migrants deported to Salvador's apocalyptic prisons were gang rape in Venezuela.
President Trump evoked the alien enemy laws of the 18th century and sent suspects of the infamous Tren de Aragua gang to El Salvador prison.
These efforts have since been suspended by the court on concerns about legitimate processes. Many of the immigrants on these flights had no documented criminal history in the United States, according to court applications from immigration and customs enforcement officers.
“Many gang members have no criminal history,” Homan told ABC News “This Week.”
“Like many terrorists in this world, they're not in any terrorist database, right?” he said.
“But that means that the plane is number one full of people designated as terrorists,” Homan said. The group mentions the fact that it is a highly reputable member of a gang designated by the United States as a “foreign terrorist organization.”
“Number 2, all Venezuelan immigrants on that flight were TDA members based on numerous criminal investigations.[s] [or] A lot of work by intelligence reporting and ice executives,” Homan said.
Host Jonathan Carl pointed to a virus allegation from Jers Reyes Barrios' lawyer that he was mistakenly deported due to a tattoo on his Real Madrid soccer team's logo.
Homan retorted that all of these concerns would be sued.
The border emperor also emphasized that US government officials “have seen the information by those who have done this for decades” and “we are confident that they are all members of the TDA.
Homan asked about immigrants' ability to challenge accusations against them, saying, “Due Process?
“Where was the due process for Laken Riley?” he said, referring to a 22-year-old Georgia nursing student who was killed by illegal immigrants in Venezuela last year.
So far, the Trump administration has flew 260 illegal immigrants into brutal, huge prisons in El Salvador.
U.S. District Judge James Boasberg then ordered the Trump administration to halt flights to El Salvador and look back at the planes that were on the way when his ruling fell.
Now he is scrutinizing concerns that at some point he ignored his orders.
The key legal issue is that Trump will use alien enemies to implement deportation rather than regular channels.
Alien enemy laws are rarely used in US history. It was recently used by former President Franklin D. Roosevelt to arrest 120,000 Japanese Americans during World War II.
Trump critics argue that the law requires the United States to go to war with another country.
“We understand that this case is being filed through alien enemy law and will comply with the court's orders as if they had filed it,” Homan said. “We don't make up for this. The Foreign Enemy Act is actually federal law, a law enacted by Congress and signed by the President.”
Homan doubled his previous statement saying, “I don't care what the judge thinks,” but on Sunday, “My point is, despite anything, [the jurist] Think about it, we will continue to target the worst and worst we've been doing since day one. ”
