Judge Patricia A. Millett, who was appointed to the DC Circuit Court of Appeals by former President Obama, says the Nazis received “better treatment” under the alien enemy laws than members of the illegal alien gang that were recently deported by President Donald Trump's administration.
“There were a lot of people. There were no procedures to notify people,” Millett told Deputy Attorney General Drew Ensign at a hearing Monday. “The Nazis received better treatment under the alien enemy law than what happened here…”
The government is “certainly fighting,” says the government.[s] Nazi analogy. ”
The remarks from Millett came during a hearing on whether lower courts could address the Trump administration's plan to deport hundreds and thousands of potential gang members related to Tren de Aragua and MS-13 through alien enemy laws.
This month, the Trump administration will use alien enemy laws to force 250 illegal alien gang members on Trende Ragua and MS-13.
At the last minute, following a lawsuit from the front of democracy in relation to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Soros, Judge James E. Boasberg issued a temporary restraining order that blocked Trump from using alien enemy laws to deport illegal aliens.
“They are not fighting for their right to restrain them. What they are fighting is the ability of the US government to release them to Salvador's prisons without prior notice or legitimate proceedings, and whether they even qualify under the declaration,” Millett said at the hearing.
Just before the hearing, Boasberg ruled that members of the illegal alien gang deported to El Salvador under the alien enemy law must be allowed to challenge their deportation.
The case is JGG v. Donald Trump U.S. DC Circuit Court of Appeals.
