Wikipedia is no longer the old one, and co-founder Larry Sanger knows exactly why.
“Wikipedia can be used to advance certain social and political agendas,” Sanger says James Polos “Zero Hour” “This is only obvious if you know a lot about a topic. Therefore, the only people who are eligible to know if the topic is neutral or not are people who know a lot about it.”
“But it's been really, really bad, really bad in Trump's time. It really means really prominently,” he continues.

“Why?” he adds. “This is a hallmark of mainstream media. They won't change. And Wikipedia is essentially a summary of what mainstream media thinks, at least when it comes to current events, politics, social issues, etc.”
But it's not just the twist of truth that fits the political agenda that plagues its co-founders, but the lack of care taken to stop others from spreading horrifying images on their websites.
This became a problem for Sanger when he was enlightened by the existence of a pedophile ring and the “graphic representation of child rape on Wikipedia.” He reported it to the FBI in 2010.
“It didn't help anything. They didn't follow up. It's still there. It changed my opinion, especially as far as I felt it was important to talk about this in this context,” he explains. “They are no longer trying to hide their sloppy. From my point of view, they simply say things that moral commands encourage me to say things I have believed in for years.”
