The legendary voice actor behind one of the “Star Wars” franchise's most terrifying villains passed away a few weeks before his 95th birthday.
Cliveleville, known for voice of Emperor Palpatine in “Empire Strikes Back,” passed away on March 11 at a care facility in Sherman Oaks, California.

Revill was born on April 18, 1930 in Wellington, New Zealand, and began working as an accountant “suddenly” before he decided to exchange financial documents with the stage script.
He moved to theatrical actor in his early 30s and made his Broadway debut with the show “Mr. Pickwick” at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (formerly Plymouth Theatre).
The versatile performer scored two Tony Award nominations for the back-to-back project in the early '60s.
He was first nominated for Best Feature Actor in the Musical of Bob Le Hotz's character in “Irma La Deus,” but he lost to Dick Van Dyke in “Goodbye, Goodbye.”
Two years later, he was nominated for “Best Actor” for his performance as Fagin in the musical “Oliver!”.
When the stars were building their own reputation on stage, including appearing on the BBC's “Sunday Night Theatre” episode, he concluded his resume by acting in films such as the 1957 TV shows “The Adventures of Robin Hood,” as well as “The Kaleidoscope” and “Fatom.”
