On Thursday's Fox News channel's “Ingraham Angle,” Attorney General Pam Bondy urged Congress to stay in Congress to confirm all candidates for President Donald Trump.
asked host Laura Ingraham. [relevant exchange begins around 4:20] “[W]Is the hat a message to Congress tonight, especially the members of the US Senate and House? And they'll leave and will be leaving for two weeks in April. What is your message to them tonight? ”
“Of course we need these people,” Bondy replied.
Ingraham cut to ask, “Should they take two weeks off?”
“Of course not. Laura, we need to get everything. Donald Trump needs to take all his candidates for all the reasons we've talked about, for public safety reasons,” Bondy said.
Bondi added that Sen. John Thune (R-SD), the Senate Majority Leader, is trying to do his best he can and if he keeps Democrats for weeks they will become caves. And then, “Senator Tune was great. He was great. But we have to protect people here. We have to put people in office.”
