BANGKOK (AP) – Two violent earthquakes on Friday shook Southeast Asia, causing buildings in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, to shake and collapse, urging evacuation of the entire city and in neighbouring Myanmar. Bangkok police say the possible casualties are not yet known when a skyscraper under construction collapsed when the 7.7 Magnitul earthquake struck Thailand's capital on Friday.
The dramatic video circulating on social media showed a multi-story building where a crane collapsed with it fallen above while onlookers ran around screaming.
Police told The Associated Press that they were responding to a scene near Bangkok's popular Chatuchak market and that there was no immediate information on how many workers were on the site at the time of the collapse.

According to a preliminary report, the US Geological Survey and the German GFZ Center for Geosciences said that daytime joy is 10km (6.2 miles) and is the epicenter of Myanmar.
A second shaking magnitude of 6.4 shook the area 12 minutes later.
Water from Bangkok's high-rise rooftop pool swayed and slid down to the sides, causing debris to fall from many buildings.
A video posted on social media shortly after the earthquake showed that the building of the apartment under construction had collapsed, but it was not immediately possible to confirm its reliability.
There were no immediate reports of the victims and Prime Minister Paetong Tarun Sinawatra called an emergency meeting to assess the effects of the tremor.
The Greater Bangkok area has over 17 million people, many of whom live in high-rise apartments.
The alarm rang out in the building as the earthquake hit around 1:30pm, and surprised residents evacuated the stairs of a densely populated Bangkok apartment complex and hotel.
They remained on the street and looked for shade from the midday sun a few minutes after the earthquake.
Thailand's Disaster Administration Prevention Bureau said it felt that the earthquake had been declared in all parts of the country.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in central Myanmar, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) east of Moniwa city.
In the capital, naypyitaw, the earthquake destroyed religious shrines, sending parts and several homes that fell to the ground.
Further reports of damages from Myanmar, which is being caught up in the civil war, were not immediately available.
