Dan Bongino publicly responds to FBI appointment of J6-obsessed official

There were no conservative fairs, but the key player for Witch Hunts on January 6th was recently appointed assistant director of the FBI's Washington Field office.

That key player is Stephen Jensen.

Conservatives had relied on newly crowned FBI director Kash Patel to eradicate people like Jensen, but Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino has posted several inexplicable X posts that appear to defend the FBI's decision to give him a position.

“When I come back to work, I want to be reassuring that what's going on here isn't happening by chance. Due to the sensitivity of what the FBI deals with, the director and I have to be careful about what we can publish.

“Measure us by the outcome. You will see them. But just because you don't see something happening at this moment doesn't mean it's not happening,” he continued.

“When you see something happening, when the entire story is not published and all the underlying facts are not published, it may seem counterintuitive to our reform agenda,” he wrote in a follow-up post, adding, “I promise you, I promise it isn't an accident.”

“We assume that Bongino is responding to this controversy,” Blaze News investigative reporter Steve Baker tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson on “Blaze News Tonight.” “In fact, if he answered it, it doesn't answer one of the hardest questions I think and one of the most important questions I have.”

The question was, “Why did we have a week and a half to this appointment, and we didn't have any announcements from the FBI, and we didn't even make the lowest level of public relations or spokesmen from the FBI?”

This includes FBI Director Kash Patel.

“When they're filled in this way, and there's always a presentation about key positions so that he takes over the most important positions without an announcement or press release at the Washington Field office,” Baker says.

“Even so, the only thing that he posted on his X account from Kash Patel was the in-campus fundraising hockey game he had in Chicago, and perhaps a few other arrests, but it has nothing to do with this particular controversy,” Baker continues.

“So they're clearly ignoring it for some reason,” he adds.
