Michael Rehan never tried Peach Cobbler until the day he met his biological father.
Today, the former NFL cornerback is the owner of Peach Cobbler Factory Restaurant in Bradenton, Florida.
While Lehan's inspiration for becoming an entrepreneur while he was still playing football, his investment in Peach Cobbler's factory franchise had something to do with memories of his later deceased father.

“In my freshman year at university, I had the great opportunity to meet my biological family,” Lehan, who spent time with adoption of a foster parent, told Fox News Digital in an interview. (See the video at the top of this article.)
On his first trip to Texalcana, Texas in 2000, his biological family held a cookout with “all this food variations” that Rehan, who grew up in Minnesota, experienced by Lehan, who had never experienced.

He was being attacked with “so many food options,” so Rehan stumbled over a slice of Peach Cobbler.
“In my life I had it before – and tasted it. 'Yum. Great. What is this?” Rekhan recalled.
The man buys a sweet treat for one child, but not for the other two: “See for trouble.”
“Then I said, 'Who made this?' And he saw my reaction.
“And that's how it really hit the cusp of this: “Every time Michael gets home, I want to make sure he has a Peach Cobbler.” ”

Leahan said his father's “willingness to make Peach Cobbler as an emphasis on every time I go home” has stood out for many years.
“It conveyed love and care,” Lehan said.
New app saves family recipes to videos in one convenient location
Many adopted people “didn't have the opportunity to meet biological families, or their biological families didn't want to rekindle the relationship or establish it,” Lehan said.
“I am so grateful that my biological family wanted to see me and have a relationship with me. It's a core memory that sticks to me to this day,” he said.

Lehan spent six seasons in the NFL from 2003 to 2008 with the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints.
He accumulated 141 tackles, one bag, 12 passes deflection, one intercept and one defensive touchdown.

While he was in Cleveland, Lehan had a locker near Robert Griffith.
He remembers the financial advice Pro Bowl Safety shared with him and encourages him to invest in 401K.
Leehan said he was lucky to have so many “future-focused” colleagues around him in the locker room.

When the opportunity came to partner with Peach Cobbler Factory, which opened its first location in 2013 and ran the franchise, Lehan didn't hesitate.

Lehan's Bradenton Restaurant opened in January.
“It really started [with] This concept of “Peach Cobbler represents a house” is.”
“It really started [with] “The concept of Peach Cobbler represents a home,” Lehan said.
“It represents me meeting my biological family, the love and care that emerged through that relationship. And ultimately, it is something I want to extend to each customer. [who] Enter Peach Cobbler Factory. ”
There's no better way to do that, said Lehan, rather than using a Peach Cobbler.

“Maybe it's a cinnamon roll while you scoop out the middle of the cinnamon roll and place the peach cobbler in the middle,” Lehan said.
“Maybe it's a brownie. Maybe it's a banana pudding. Maybe it's a churro. Maybe it's an ice cream scoop with some different toppings. We have them all.”
