Nvidia announced on Monday its first fully-built AI supercomputer.
The AI chipmaking giant said it has partnered with manufacturing partners to commission more than a million square feet of manufacturing space to build and test Nvidia’s Advanced Blackwell chips and Texas AI supercomputers.
The company said it has already begun production of Blackwell chips at TSMC’s chip plant in Phoenix.
Nvidia is building two supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas. One has Foxconn in Houston and the other has Wistron in Dallas. The company said it expects mass production to increase in both plants over the next 12-15 months.

“The world’s AI infrastructure engine is being built in the US for the first time,” said Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia. “The addition of American manufacturing will meet the incredible demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthen our supply chain and increase our resilience.”
The company’s AI supercomputers are used to power new data centers that are being created for AI processing. Over the next few years, dozens of “Gigawatt AI factories” are planned to be built. Nvidia added that AI chips and supercomputers at American AI plants “we are expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and build up economic security over the next few decades.”

Nvidia said it has announced it plans to produce up to $500 billion in AI infrastructure in the US within the next four years through its partnership with TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor and Spil.
The company added that it will utilize advanced AI, robotics and digital twin technologies to design and operate the facility to create digital twins for the factory using Nvidia Omniverse and build robots that will automate manufacturing.
President Donald Trump confirmed Nvidia’s announcement in a post about the True Society, and later commented on the news from the White House on Monday.
“It’s big, and the reason they did it is because of what’s called the November 5 election and tariffs,” Trump said. “I want to thank Jensen and all the people we deal with, great people, great people, and without tariffs they wouldn’t do that.”
Earlier this year, Huang said, “The ChatGpt moment in general robotics is coming soon,” and presented Nvidia’s Isaac Groot initiative to promote the development of robotics.
