Nvidia to Invest $500 Billion to Build AI Chips and Supercomputers in Texas

Nvidia has announced plans to build an AI supercomputer in Texas and invest in up to $500 billion in AI production in the US.

Baron’s Report AI Powerhouse Nvidia has commissioned more than 1 million square feet of manufacturing space in Arizona and Texas, building and testing Blackwell chips and AI supercomputers. This is the first time Nvidia has produced cutting edge AI technology in the US.

Nvidia’s Blackwell Chips has already begun production at TSMC’s chip plant in Phoenix, Arizona. Meanwhile, the company is working with Foxconn in Houston and Foxconn in Wistron in Dallas to build a manufacturing plant for its supercomputer. Mass production at these facilities is expected to rise in the next 12-15 months.

The production of Nvidia’s AI chips and supercomputers for American AI factories is projected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs decades ago and drive trillions of dollars in economic security. “The first time the world’s AI infrastructure engine has been built in the US. Adding American manufacturing will meet the incredibly growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthening the supply chain and increasing resilience,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia.

The supply chain of AI chips and supercomputers is extremely complex and requires cutting-edge manufacturing, packaging, assembly and testing techniques. To support this effort, Nvidia is working with Amkor and Spil for packaging and testing operations in Arizona.

Over the next four years, Nvidia plans to produce up to $50 trillion worth of AI infrastructure in the United States through partnerships with TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor and Spil. These industry-leading companies are expanding their global footprint while deepening relationships with the most powerful companies in the AI space and increasing supply chain resilience.

Nvidia’s AI supercomputers act as a new type of data center powered engine, specifically designed to handle artificial intelligence. These “AI factories” form the infrastructure backbone of the emerging AI industry. Over the next decades, dozens of “Gigawatt AI factories” are expected to be built to meet the ever-growing demand. As previously reported by Breitbart News, Big Tech hopes to triple America’s nuclear power generation by 2050 to address the large-scale power requirements of AI data centers.

To design and operate these cutting-edge facilities, Nvidia leverages unique advanced AI, robotics and digital twin technologies. This includes using the company’s Omniverse system to create a digital twin for the factory and its ISAAC GR00T to build a robot to automate the manufacturing process.
