Alexa Penavega shared a gloomy photo a year after her death in honor of her daughter Indy after death.
The “Spied Kids” star hugged the baby in her arms in an image taken from the hospital last year shortly after Indy became “Born at Lest.”
“This was the most painful moment I’ve ever had.” Penavega wrote online. “I remember feeling very difficult to breathe. I feel such a deep pain… how was this?”
“It wasn’t real. All the emotions flooded at once,” she added. “Even so, despite the devastating losses, we felt so restrained… so covered… supernatural peace. It was all out of our control. We had to give it to God.
“It was heavy for us to carry, so he removed our weight and covered us in his peace.”
Penavega has admitted that despite mourning Indy’s death, she still celebrated the way her daughter could give “life” in many other ways.
“Last year, we’ve seen life slip out of her life. We’ve seen people heal for Indy,” she wrote. “We saw sorrow being released for Indy, we saw the relationship recover… God has given so many fruits to her life… so meaning and purpose.
“Our sweet girl is celebrating with Jesus today, and we are still grieving and we want her to hold her in our arms… We know that she is waiting for us in a place beyond what we can imagine. Jeremiah 29:11.”
Alexa and her husband Carlos They have three children together, their sons Umi and Kingston and their daughter Rio.

Religion played a major factor in helping the couple deal with her loss.
“We don’t know how we would do it without God because we couldn’t explain it, so it was like a supernatural peace that didn’t make sense,” Alexa told Fox News Digital in June.
“It doesn’t make sense. It’s beyond understanding. Clearly we were devastated after it all happened. It was heartbreaking. Still, God said, “Hey, it’s so sad that you had to go through this, but I’m here for you.”
