El Salvador is “very enthusiastic” about crime and terrorist issues related to the southern border, Salvador President Naive Buquere said during a meeting with President Donald Trump on Monday.
“But I want to thank you for the amazing work you’re doing. I appreciate that,” Trump said.
Bukel said it was an honor to be with the president and leader of the Free World, “We are very happy and we want to help.”
“We have a crime issue and a terrorism issue where you need help, and we are a small country, but if we can help, we will do it,” he said.

At one point during the exchange, Bukel praised Trump for his work at the southern border.
“It’s amazing what you’re doing at the border. You’ve been dropped, what, 95%? That’s incredible,” he said.
“This morning, 99% – 99.1% to be precise,” Trump replied. Bukere asked why these numbers are not widely shared by mainstream media.
“Well, they get them, but fake news – like CNN here, they don’t want to put out them. They don’t want to put out good numbers because I think they actually hate our country.

The meeting comes after President Donald Trump extended the invitation, praised Bukere as an ally and supported efforts to curb illegal immigration. As reported by Breitbart News, the Trump administration “sent gang members to El Salvador, including child rapists and convicted murderers.”
“What’s also very important to our partnership is the willingness to use El Salvador’s new Super Max prison for Tren de Aragua and members of the MS-13 gang.” “You are showing real leadership and a model for others who are trying to work with the United States.”
