The former New York City Police Sergeant was sentenced to 1-1/2 years on Wednesday following a 2023 conviction for acting as an illegal Chinese agent.
Michael McMahon has been accused of being hired as a private investigator to investigate New Jersey residents accused of corruption by China as part of a global campaign by Chinese law enforcement to repatriate a suspected criminal known as the “Opera Fox Hunt.”
