A terrifying passenger on a Frontier Airlines flight from Florida feared that it was “end” when one of the plane’s wheels broke during a hard landing in a horrifying moment when he was caught in camera.
Frontier Flight 5306 was the final approach to San Juan in Puerto Rico, and quickly climbed on April 15th after 228 passenger planes landed at Luis Munos Marine International Airport.
During the first landing attempt, the Airbus A321 was hit by a “mechanical problem” and the result Reported by newspaper El Nuevo Dia.
“We were landing, the landing was very bad, aggressive and fast, one of the tires in front of the plane broke and set fire,” Melani Gonzalez Wharton wrote on Facebook.
Wharton traveled to Florida with her husband and their two sons, ages 3 and 6, to visit the area’s theme parks.
The family didn’t expect a trip back from a holiday to turn into a near-death experience.
“For a few minutes I thought it was the end of our story on Earth,” Wharton wrote on Facebook, with a video of passengers equipped with planes.
The mother of two looked out the window from her seat. It showed an orange glow beneath the plane as the stripes passed through the window.
Debris from the damaged gear was sucked into the engine and produced smoke, but no engine failure has been reported.
The children were heard crying as other passengers prayed for their safety.

Flight data shows that Tuesday’s flight was more than an hour longer than the trip from Orlando to Puerto Rico.
Investigators praised the flight crew’s work, claiming that their actions saved the plane from a worse outcome.
The young co-pilot was in control before the cool-headed captain took over and stabilized the plane, flight inspector Lewis Ilizary said. According to Puerto Rico’s WAPA.
The aftermath photos captured the plane’s front landing equipment and lost the entire wheel.
No injuries have been reported.
