The Trump administration has published a CNN polling analysis that found an increasing number of Americans support the deportation of all illegal immigrants in the United States.
Critics of the administration have accused President Donald Trump of violating due-process rights and other legal protections in pursuit of the massive deportation he promised during the 2024 presidential election.
“In fact, the vast majority of Americans want to deport all the immigrants who are actually illegal here when they ask this dull question that seems to reach the underlying emotions.”
What is clear from CNN’s Harry Enten’s polling analysis is that the majority of Americans support deportation after a loose border policy that allowed millions of immigrants to enter the United States illegally
Four separate polls found that deportation assistance ranged from 55% from the New York Times poll to 64% from the Marquette poll.
“So, what you’re essentially looking at here is a very clear indication that when the majority of Americans actually ask this dull question I think I’ll fall into the underlying emotions, they want to actually deport all the immigrants who are here illegally here,” Enten explained. “We don’t discuss these different numbers, because they are all essentially the same with four different pollers!”
Enten showed that low levels of immigration support increased from 38% in 2016 to a staggering 56% in 2025.
More recent polls show Support for Trump’s deportation policy remains popular, with about 53% supporting them after seeing the two months of policy in action.
The segment first aired in January, and later Enten posted a video on his official social media account on the X platform.
