Kadarius Toney responds after retirement rumors run wild

Cadarius Tony appears to be reacting to internet rumours that he is retiring and began to surface on Thursday evening.

The former Giants’ first round draft pick and Florida Gators star were allegedly claimed that social media users wanted to retire from the NFL on Instagram live and be considered a rapper.

The rumors have been amplified by several popular aggregator accounts circulating online and covering soccer news.

However, Tony took him to his Instagram account and appeared to shoot down speculations about his retirement.

“I’m a retired Net Horrellin goofy,” Tony wrote in his Instagram story. “I just want Klout [poop emoji] Nomo. ”

He added:

It remains unclear whether Tony wanted to retire in the first place.

The agency representing Tony did not respond immediately when asked to comment for a post.

Toney, 26, has been releasing rap music for many years under the name Yung Joka, and his last album was released in 2024.

Tony stood out at the University of Florida, but his NFL career had ups and downs.

He was inconsistent after the Giants came 20th in the 2021 NFL Draft. Over the course of his career, he scored just 760 yards with three touchdowns.

Tony was traded to the Chiefs during the 2022 season and took part in the Super Bowl Championship in 2023, earning a keypan return and a touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.

He spent last season with the Browns, playing three games before being released after muffing punts and picking up a provocative penalty during the game.

He was subsequently arrested on February 6th on charges related to the alleged assault.
