Kyren Lacy’s Agent Blasts NFL for Revoking Combine Invite

Rocky Arceneaux, an agent representing former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy, who committed suicide last week, “embarrassed” the NFL to cancel the invitation of clients to NFL’s Combine.

Lacey, 24, died last weekend of self-harm injuries just before he was set up to hear evidence against him in this year’s negligent murder case, which was accused of killing 78-year-old Herman Hall, just before the Houston ju judge was set up to hear evidence against him from the beginning of this year.

On Friday, Arceneaux issued an A statement Criticizes the NFL for removing him from the combine before he defends himself in court.

I have dealt with this loss in private with Kylen’s family and loved ones, and with their permission I would like to share the following: Kairen was a special talent, but even better. In December, the Alliance was blessed to welcome Kylen into our family. His infectious personality and love for life had a positive impact on everyone. The same goes for staff and clients.

He loved soccer. The fact that it would become a means to offer his family meant even more. His family was everything he was.

As his lawyer said, there was a high probability that a felony murder charge would have been denied by the Great Ju judge last Monday. Kylen listened to Hall’s tragic loss. He was willing to comply with any civil matters, regardless of the decision of the Great Ju Court. That aside, the system has failed us and we are now mourning the loss of two lives.

Shame the NFL for revoking Kyren’s invitation and revoking the invitation without acknowledging the facts or considering it. I recommend you reevaluate your process and provide the athlete with the legitimate process they need before they can move them away from their hard-working peers and dreams. Shame of investigators for public awareness and the pressure to claim someone rather than actually investigate the facts.

K2 – In just a week, you should have had the opportunity to reach your dream of playing in the NFL. Pressure, public perception, social media bullying is unbearable – it hurts unbearable. We wanted you to flourish as an elite WR in the NFL, but God needed you more with your team. Your memory will never be forgotten, we will not let your death go to waste, you are not irrelevant.

The NFL maintains a policy of not taking punitive action against players until legal cases are resolved, but players who have not yet appeared in the combine are not eligible to be members of the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) and do not provide the protections that NFLPA players normally receive.
